Teacher Trainer
Are
you knowledgeable in the field of early
childhood education? Do you have effective
leadership and interpersonal skills?
If so, this may be the position for you!
The teacher trainer is responsible for training
new teachers regarding general running of a
classroom. The trainer will conduct orientations
for new employees as well as implement staff
trainings. Trainer must be able to model guided
discovery, routines, curriculum planning, etc.
Trainer spends at least 20 hours per week in
classrooms modeling developmentally appropriate
practice.
Requirements:

Must be EEC Director II certified in the
state of Massachusetts
-
Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in ECE or
related field; commensurate experience
considered
-
Must have knowledge of EEC licensing
standards, NAEYC accreditation, Teaching
Strategies Gold, and ECERS, ITERS, SACERS.

Current First-Aid and CPR certification
(or able to acquire within 90 days)

Evidence of Negative TB, physical exam, and
MMR verification
-
Physical constraints required include the
ability to hear the conversational voice,
with or without a hearing aid, the ability
to see and read newsprint with or without
corrective lenses, to speak and be
understood under normal circumstances, to
lift and carry children and other items
weighing up to 50 pounds, and the use of
arms, hands, legs, and feet with or without
corrective devices to accomplish the job,
including evacuation of the building during
emergencies.
