The Kids' Place first opened in West Springfield, Massachusetts in 1982 with a  goal to provide quality child care services that were based in sound educational philosophies. Teacher selection, training, and curriculum planning are designed to create a warm, nurturing environment, where children are accepted for the unique individuals they are and to challenge them to develop socially, emotionally, and cognitively.

Since 1982, The Kids' Place has grown to include eight locations throughout western Massachusetts and Connecticut. Our staff is our most important resource in the success of The Kids' Place, both in the past and moving into the future. Many of our policies and practices have been a result of staff collaboration at all levels. Our staff enjoys seeing many of the children we taught come back - looking for the same quality of education they once received to provide now to their own children.
