The Kids' Place in Wilbraham, MA opened in 1994. Our new building was designed specifically for child care;
each classroom opens out into a completely
enclosed area leading to our two designated playgrounds (one
for kindergarten and preschool children and the other for our infants and toddlers). Our outdoor
area also includes
a covered porch area for shade protection or outdoor play in inclement weather. We encourage outdoor play
daily. The child care center
adjoins The Kids' Place administrative offices. Our center has been accredited by
the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs since 1997. We have
demonstrated substantial compliance
with nationally recognized criteria for high quality early childhood programs. The Kids' Place staff and families are involved in community events such as the Wilbraham Annual Peach Festival Parade. The children visit local nursing homes and create special gifts and treats for the residents. We take the children on field trips to local farms and museums, and The Kids' Place invites guest speakers to come to our center to educate the children on subjects from baking to wild animals. Center Coordinator, Gail Allen, who has 13 years experience in the field of Early Childhood Education, is available at the above number to arrange a tour of the facility. |
